Things to do

First Fridays in Auburn: Are you going to be in town on Friday night? On the first Friday of every month, downtown museums, galleries, restaurants, and shops host open houses with free live music, art exhibits, and refreshments.

Museums in Auburn: There are many historical sites in Auburn, including the Seward House Museum and the Harriet Tubman Home. You can also visit the newly opened NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center.

Wineries: The Finger Lakes are known for their amazing wine scene. Skaneateles Lake and Cayuga Lake are close enough for you to enjoy a few tasting rooms. If you’re willing to travel down the road to lovely Geneva, NY, you can enjoy an array of wineries on the Seneca Lake wine trail. Favorites that are at the northern end of the lake include White Springs Winery, Three Brothers Winery, and Fox Run Winery.

Seneca Falls Women’s History Museum: Travel about 20 minutes down the road to see where suffragettes gathered to advocate for the right to vote.
